The world's smallest skin protection plan
No more endless products in your skin protection plan – this confuses employees, quickly becomes expensive and is often a logistical burden as well.
BarrierBoost Dual combines skin protection and skin care.
BarrierBoost Dual offers universal protection against water-soluble and water-insoluble substances on all areas of the skin: its unique formula protects the skin during varied work involving water-soluble substances such as disinfectants, cleaning agents and cooling lubricants, and water-insoluble substances such as operating fluids including petrol, diesel and PAHs. It’s suitable for use with protective gloves and other PPE and can be applied to all areas of the skin.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Confirmed protective effect according to TRGS 401 – what does that mean?
Scientific studies on efficacy were conducted using a one-week repetitive irritation test, as required by test principle GS-PS-14. This corresponds to the efficacy test according to TRGS 401 ‘Environmental hazards through skin contact’. For this purpose, the cream is applied and left to absorb. After 10 minutes, model substances with an irritant effect are applied. The corresponding protective effect is determined by the delayed absorption of the irritant into the skin. Toluene is used as the model substance for water-insoluble substances and sodium dodecyl sulphate for water-soluble substances.
For whom is BarrierBoost Dual suitable?
Barrier Boost Dual can generally be used whenever the use of a skin protection or skin care product is recommended.
BarrierBoost Dual also meets the highest professional requirements for work areas where the skin is heavily stressed or even pre-damaged:
- through frequent wearing of gloves or PPE
- through regular skin cleansing and disinfection
- through contact with skin-irritating substances
- through the use of unsuitable products for skin protection, skin cleansing and skin care
Does a skin protection product replace PPE or skin cleansing?
No.
Wearing PPE and gloves is not replaced, but is usually supplemented with a professionally appropriate skin protection plan.
The protective effect of a skin protection product after a single application is limited, primarily due to mechanical abrasion. The product should therefore be reapplied every 2–4 hours, after longer breaks, after washing your hands or as needed.
Another important function is skin care, which helps to maintain the skin barrier and make it less vulnerable to the stresses and strains of everyday working life.
